Soon, the applause died down and the usual crowd noises of people ordering drinks, filled the air. Some of the audience gathered their things to go, but Ruby and her friends lingered at their table.
Hansel walked up to Asher. “So, how’d I do?”
“Huh?” Asher still had Ruby on his mind, her scent on his shirt from when he’d held her close.
“The girl, Ruby. How did I do?”
“God, she’s amazing. Did you get her number?”
Hansel pouted, raising an eyebrow. “Sorry, boo. You gotta close on your own. However, there’s no guy next to her, the finger ain’t flashing and the prompt we had about the crazy ex—that was from her.”
“Sounds promising.” Untucking his shirt, Asher peeped out at the audience.
