Li had several tattoos, all of which I’d seen more than once. He also had the best abs of any man I’d ever met. Each was etched from hard workouts, martial arts training and the many laps he swam nearly every day. He was a thing of beauty in the water, moving with the speed of a racer. He was a thing of beauty in or out of the water, but I had always tried to put it from my mind. After all, I was engaged. But I’m not anymore.
“You’re staring again.”
“Oh, for God’s sake, Yung Li, go put on a shirt!” I snapped, grinning.
Laughing, he rose slowly. My hungry stare followed him as he stood.
“Yes, ma’am. Never let it be said I distracted a lady from her meal.” He sauntered to his room, grabbed a shirt and pulled it slowly over his head.
